Searching for info

I’m still searching:
for anyone (or any place) that has information on how much radioactive material is in the atmosphere these days. Also I’m interested in knowing if anyone has made the connection that radioactivity in the atmosphere may be ‘heating’ (imparting kinetic energy to) the atmospheric molecules. Then furthering that thought, I’m interested in knowing how fast the atmospheric molecules are moving in the ‘thermosphere’ and above it.
I know that any object that has the velocity of seven miles per second can escape the Earth’s gravitational influence. I also know that radioactive decay of atomic nuclei imparts kinetic energy to the surrounding atomic elements; besides causing the surrounding elements to become radioactive.
It has been proposed on this board that the Earth’s magnetic field will somehow prevent energetic particles from escaping the gravitational field of the planet. The implication seems to be that radiation, man made or natural, including the VanAllen belt has no accelerating influence on the activity of air molecules. I’d like to know the basis of the conjecture that magnetic fields can prevent energetic particles from moving faster than seven miles per second. As I understand it, the Sun has a greater escape velocity than Earth and there are magnetic fields associated with the Sun, yet it is able to expel massive quantities of energetic particles into space . Why could this not happen on Earth?

So far I have found many interesting and informative web sites; non of which give the information that I need.

Some sites that I found interesting are as follows

Other interesting stuff:
From one location 230 tons of radioactive material has leaked into environment between the year 1959 and the year 1987. During the same period of time 337 tons of Uranium hexafluoride also escaped from various nuclear facilities
Between 1944 and 1987, 530,000 curies of radioactive Iodine has been released into the environment. Three Mile Island incident released 15 curies of radioactive Iodine.
Average atmospheric pressure at sea level (March 1978) 760 mm of mercury.
Ozone forms with frequency below 2000 angstroms.
Nitrogen resonance line is at 5461 a
1 angstrom = 10-8 cm.
Visible region is from 3800 a (purple) to 7700 a (red).
Democritus Aristotles said that all matter is the product of wave number, wave length, density plus form.
1 kg (2.2lb) of Uranium –235 releases 18.7 million kilowatt-hours of energy as heat.
Naturally occurring Uranium contains 0.71 percent -U235 remainder is -U238.
When -U238 absorbs neutrons it is changed to plutonium-239.
