But then I saw something that makes my blood boil. An article on ISO 9000 auditors and scribes. It's this kinda faux quality big company BS that kills R&D. Of course, orgs need processes but the ISO paradigm forces superficial compliances that are costly in time and resources. And tell me just how did this prevent the Mars Polar Lander and Mars Surveyor failures? Both had system flaws.
You gotta admit that the pre-ISO 9000 JPL kicked ass and got bleeding edge stuff done.
