Yes sir, I was at the beach , listening to the radio while my brother and father went to swim (I could see them from the appartment on the dike); then they lifted off at 02:32 PM (our time).
What does surprise me though, is the number of people (very much alive then) who seem to only remember Apollo 11 and believe that only two humans ever landed on the Moon.
On practically every TV program reminding us of the event, they use video footage of later missions to comment Apollo 11.
Well, at least WE know better!
