So what all this seems to be saying is that the THEMIS equipment isn't working very well, there's nothing that anyone can do about it, and that rather than be embarrassed by the fact, there is no intention of releasing the full THEMIS spectrum bands and no intention of releasing THEMIS visual and IR color images -- at least for the forseeable future.
And since planetary scientists seem not to care, all is well.
