I don't think I'd want wires coming out of my skull. A wireless system would be better (unless that's impossible). I've read that people can have microchips implanted in their pets that have no power supply, but when you place an electromagnet closeby it causes current to flow and it transmits the identity of the animal to a transceiver. I think that is much better.
