It is like they are treading water
Almost like they are hoping for a miracle breakthrough in technology that would make access to space reletively dirt cheap.
But if such a breakthrough were to happen, would it be a windfall for NASA or a windfall for the privatization and the militarization of space?
Personally, (and unfortunatly) I think the militarization of space is the only thing that is going to get manking off this planet.
Throughout human history, most huge leaps in technology were made with a military purpose in mind.
