Re: Panspermia
By studying the Moon, it is possible to know what the impact frequency was in the present, the recent past and the very very ancient past. It all leads to a huge number of impacts, decreasing after several 100 million years to a far lower number of impacts....leading to occasional ones, today. Most of the dangerous chaotic asteroids are already part of a planet or a moon, a few are still out there. What might be very interesting to study are the Lagrange points, which are considered portals from one gravitational well to another. What body is likely to reach L1 or L2 (Sun Earth) and aim towards Earth? Worth finding out.
