Canvas suited delusional fools?

<South Park science? Can also be interpreted as thinking the Arctic is a realistic analog to Mars and setting up a plywood "Mars Research Station". It's not Mars...not even close, so it is rediculous to pretend it is. I cannot believe the Discovery Channel covered this as "real science".

In defense of the canvas suits, no one meaningfully involved with the project is deluding themselves that Devon Island, Utah or Iceland is Mars. Infact they're horrible analogs but some of the best that are available on Earth.

While there is a modicum of actual Earth science being done by the participants as quasi-realistic targets of opportunities, the real purpose for the stations are operations research and simulating a long duration surface stay on Mars as well as possible on Earth with comparatively little funding.

It's not funded by tax dollars and I'm assuming you're not a member of TMS so
if you have a problem with it, get a life.
We shouldn't have to be subject to your
misunderstanding of the analog habs.
