If someone manages to bar the Apollo landing sites from being visited again, it sure will discourage going back to the Moon. Also, using the properties of the Moon will mean not to disturb it : a landing module on the Moon will inevitably spoil the airless environment; as well as footsteps will provoke mini moonquakes disturbing sensitive telescopes.
I'd love to have aereas clean of light pollution and live in a noise-free zone.
But we expire CO2, leave all kinds of wastes as they are part of being alive.
No easy solution.
