Well, now.

You know that whatever "recorded history" is, mans activities are contributing to global warming. While the degree may be in some dispute, even GWB acknowledges that Man's activities are prime.

Now, we can learn to mitigate Man's effects, OR we can wait a bit and spend money building a dam around the entire State of Florida. After all, Jeb is Governor, and Kathleen Harris stopped the vote counting and we now have the mess we're in.

BUT WAIT!!! The Cubans (economic refugees like the Eastern Europeans, Mexicans, South Americans, most Asians, not political refugees) couldn't get through a dam. And the Cuban-not-so-Americans wouldn't like that.

And what about New York, and LA. Right there on the water. But they don't have Cubans, not that many. Could build dams against the seas there. What will happen to Geffen's beach, though? Damn! Problems everywhere.

OR, start limiting greenhouse gases, just for beginners. Go to nuclear power, for instance.

It sure looks like we could spend some bucks now or A LOT of bucks later. It's not as if we can avoid it by sticking our heads farther - - - well - - - into the sand. We can pay now, or pay a lot later, after the damage.
