Your fearless leader Gil never got off the rush he got when he thought he discovered life on Mars. To the extent that all pursuit since has been to vindicate himself, and prove to all that he's as much of an astrobiological arch-mage as he thinks himself to be.

Your sorry lot was to get sucked up into this mania so that you now believe every sentence fragment you utter, and those who differ with you are either too stupid to appreciate or afraid of your blinding intellect.

But now you're in too deep. Heresy against your bible would leave you without any credability to those who don't know any better, and who pay the bills by buying your book. Someone hears some indignant diatribe on Art Bell and we got another year of victuals for Barry, ain't that right?

And those of us who don't invent our own fasionable nonsense, who refuse to eat your suspicous smelling oatmeal draw your patheticaly desperate attempts to defend your position by sniping at the yeoman projects of the Mars Society and other tiresome flailings.

I really pitty you Barry because I think you know you're a fraud and refuse to come to terms with it. But there's hope of redemption.

If the pursuit of life on Mars for you is more than just a cash cow, you can go back to school, learn how science is done and understand why your work to date is more than a bit suspect.

But why toil when you can quietly live a LIE. Sit in your personal (padded?) sanctuary, sip the beverage of your choice and think up the next round of syntactic equations that will maxmize book sales the next time you get a forum and an oppurtunity.
