Unless I am not understanding the process, all these ‘clones’ in the news, be it human or animal, are not what I consider a true clone. A true clone is taking a life form’s DNA and making an exact copy of it. Here, all they have done is taken DNA from a mail and female parent. On the DNA level, it’s no different then a natural coming together of genetic material. So why are they calling them clones?

I hope they can develop a way to take a persons DNA and build them new organs and tissue. As far as cloning people- do we really need to. The world seems to have no problem creating people the natural way. With concerns of overpopulation, I don’t think we need it.
