"And, I for one, believe the Moon wasn't created to be a garbage dump. "
Huh. I didn't think the dog was religious. And was so dogmatic in his religious beliefs:).
I'm rather fond of this quote:
"If God wanted Man to become a spacefaring species, He would have
given Man a Moon."
- Krafft Ehrick
But I don't know the "mind of God" [very well:] so I can't really say what He/She intended for the Moon. If there is a Higher Being or a Greater Purpose, I tend towards the idea that Humans will be doing wonderful things in the future [as they do presently].
Most relatively intelligent creatures make an effort to sort things needed and things which are not needed. Things which are not desired, can be dropped anywhere, or they can places in which they are put: a garbage dump. I can't see why God would have a problem with using the Moon as a garbage dump. I don't see a viable economical way of presently using the Moon as a garbage dump, but if it was in the future viable- say for radioactive waste- I don't have "a problem" with using the Moon as a place to put waste.
