Go to a gym lighted by florescent lighting. Whites will look white. Take a picture and look at it. Whites will look green. This is how the brain adjusts.
I saw an experiment where they put goggles on a person that turned their world upside-down. Their brain eventual righted their vision so that everything appeared normal- took several days. When they took off the goggles, the world once again appeared upside-down and their brains had to adjust once more.

So it is really hard to say just how Mars will appear to us. The brain will try its best to make Mars look familiar.
