Addendum
Application of Newtonian physics in planetaery formation models failed to predict hot Jupiters until they were found. All computer models use assumptions and approximations. Even using an algebraic equation to give results assumes that it covers all applicable variables. You should either believe that modeling is a valid approach with known pitfalls or not. Supporting them when they support you and ignoring them when they don't is neither logically or scientifically consistent.
