Re: shuttle

Most future shuttle missions are going to dock with the ISS. Perhaps the station would be rigged with remote cameras to inspect the exterior of the shuttle.

Had we known Friday night what we know today, what could we have done? The shuttle was not in the proper orbit top dock with the ISS and I doubt it had enough fuel to get in the correct orbit. The only thing that could have been do would be to launch another shuttle to intercept. The rescue shuttle could carry suits. The could also try to repair the damage.

We all know what they say about hindsight.

Another topic, while I am posting. I have notice most Americans are not as devastated by this accident like we were with the Challenger. I remember feeling depressed for a long time after the Challenger accident. I am saddened by yesterday’s accident and I even shed a tear, but I don’t have the same feeling of despair I had with the Challenger. Maybe it’s because I was a teenager back then. Maybe it is because after watching all the destruction on 9/11, my emotions have been harden. The one thing I do feel is, lets keep on moving forward. Lets get the next shuttle up there ASAP.
