Another topic, while I am posting. I have notice most Americans are not as devastated by this accident like we were with the Challenger. I remember feeling depressed for a long time after the Challenger accident. I am saddened by yesterday’s accident and I even shed a tear, but I don’t have the same feeling of despair I had with the Challenger. Maybe it’s because I was a teenager back then. Maybe it is because after watching all the destruction on 9/11, my emotions have been harden. The one thing I do feel is, lets keep on moving forward. Lets get the next shuttle up there ASAP.

I think that most are devastated, but as you said, they may be somewhat immuned by the events of 9-11... better seasoned to bounce back (if I may). We also didn't have access to information as we have now via the net.
