Well that was very informative
I was unaware of any of this but it makes a lot of sense. As a taxpayer and a patriotic American I am in support of a sensible and cost-efficient space program. If that means replacing the space shuttle technology with more modern and therefore safer technology, than I'm all for that.
That's what we should all be writing to our congressmen about. (Or possibly our president since congress seems to have gotten it wrong as you stated!)
