there is one immediate reason that we will continue with manned flight, and it ain't colonization -
it is to preserve life here on Earth. We are going to need man tended space telescopes to detect the next asteroid or comet impactor before it hits, and the sooner some retards realize this the happier I am going to be.
this is not a theoretical problem, and it is not hypothetical, it is a very real and immediate problem involving tens of millions of lives
