About rays:

This table is taken from a "HyperPhysics" site. It shows that, though gamma rays and x-rays are both photons, ie part of the overall electromagnetic spectrum, gamma rays have frequencies around 300 times higher than x-rays, and quantum energies around 8000 times higher.

X-rays 3 x 10^16 plus 124 eV plus

In any case, given that the effect is real and manageable, I'm not clear how gamma rays can be used to produce useful power. Any ideas?
