I appreciate the sentiment, Buck, and I thank you for it. But when the Great Kerfuffle broke out a month ago, I made the comment that if anyone thought I was out of line, I would apologize and withdraw.
Well, I was declared 'out of line', not by one of my opponents, but by a third party, so it gave me no choice but to withdraw--if only in order to keep my dignity intact.
I hope you will forgive me for not apologizing.
