Well, from a visual perspective, Gusev may have been a place that was filled and partly carved with a 'liquid'. Both Meridani and Gusev are from the Noachian period, correct? What if the finds are the same? What if they find something 'useful'/as in Earth related (if I may) only at the Gusev site(!).
