Space/Science » in reply to On a happier note, lets talk about the death of all life on Earth....

Life nipped in the bud.

Over all it would definitely seem that lifelessness has an advantage over life.

Ie it's harder to be alive than inanimate.

Perhaps life is trying to be an irresistable force against the immovable object of death.

I still get a kick out of the arrogant assumption that any life form must enevitably go on reproducing forever or some how evolve into an immortal pure energy lifeform.

Perhaps each life form has a self destruct feature and will only last just so long no matter what.

On the bright side there should be things left of all these civilizations, space ships, ruins of cities, maybe some machines that still work.

Don't you evny the ones who may one day discover these things and cause technology to leap ahead light years!
