What was the latest news story you heard about South Africa? Anything at all? What's been happening since the reprehensible philosophy of apartheid was replaced by the equally reprehensible philosophies of socialism and ethnic cleansing? Haven't heard a heck of a lot since the Great Victory of the left over apartheid, have we?

Maybe stories like this kind of take the shine off the whole glorious endeavor. You certainly aren't going to spot this stuff in the New York Times.

South Africa is well on the way to becoming yet another socialist cesspool. What really chaps my ass is that they, and the leftists in our own country, will eventually blame the poverty, "crop failures," industrial collapses, and economic implosion on the "colonials" and whites that they ran out of the country. Ran out of the country in front of torchbearing mobs who think that all there is to running a farm or a factory is owning one.
