I remember that from high school
I first heard Gordon Sinclair reading this statement back in 1973. You can tell how dated the statement is by the references to airliners long out of production (L-1011 & DC-10) and its failure to mention Airbus. I appreciate Mr. Sinclair's sentiments and it's nice to hear some appreciation for America. I deeply respect the fact that he donated the proceeds to the American Red Cross, some $300,000. This statement and money came at a time when the Red Cross was almost bankrupt.
