Don't let the bastards win

If we radically alter our way of life or surrender our freedoms as a result of Tuesday's attacks, then the terrorists have won a major victory. If we cower in fear, they've won. Don't let the bastards win. Go about your daily life in as normal a manner as possible -- go to work, do your job, walk the dog, play with the kids, go shopping, etc.

Privacy isn't enumerated in the Constitution, but I suppose it falls under the 9th Amendment. With the terrorist attacks this week, there will be even more call to surrender some of our freedom in the hopes of gaining a little more security. That's a dangerous course of action, IMO. Over 200 years ago, Franklin wrote,"Those who would sacrifice essential freedoms for temporary safety deserve neither."

"Privacy is a right like any other. You have to exercise it or risk losing it."
-- Philip R. Zimmermann

"The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated..."
-- the Fourth Amendment to the U.S. Constitution
