"Revenge a dish best served cold..."

I've spent a lot of time listening to talk radio today. If some of the conservative hosts had their way (local guys, not national), the entire Middle East would be a sea of glowing radioactive glass.

There is a school of thought that says that we go in now, NOW, NOW and bomb the hell out of anything we even think has something to do with terrorism. Others say that much is going on behind the scenes, that the present seeming inactivity is deceiving, and that with patience an accurate and effective military blow can be struck. I can understand both points of view, and have some difficulty sorting them out.

Look at this.

These are Palestinians celebrating the destruction in our nation:

Makes you mad, doesn't it? Sure makes me mad.

But.

These are Palestinians too.

Some say blow them all up and let God sort them out. Maybe they're right, but I don't have to like it. And I don't.

I have seen pictures of people of all races, cultures, and religions, who are on our side. All of Europe is on our side. Russia is on our side. Pakistan is on our side. We have a lot of good karma right now, and some hamhanded obliteration of an entire population could wreck this.

I can wait to do it right. I'm assuming from what I know of Bush he will adopt a deliberate approach as well.

I'll wait and see what happens.
