We have 2 cultures here, the dominant culture is the Cambridge, university, PC liberals and South Boston labor liberals who elect any Democrat in every race. The winner to replace the recently deceased Joe Moakely admitedly defaulted on student loans (i.e. I had to be taxed for HIS college education) and also was a phoney disabled from work union leader. The minority culture here in MA is the talk show predominantly conservative white collar predominantly male audiance who was trashing Meehan's comments bigtime this AM. Meehan started out as a fiscally conservative moderate. I'd voted for him. Something, perhaps association with the other members of the MA delegation and the left of center wing of the party has transformed him into someone I'd never vote for again. Oh, and he ran as a term limits guy. And guess what? He annoucnced he'd continue to run despite his pladge because the people want him to run.
