The problem
Possibly the "Captain" should be a separate position from the "pilot". The Pilot would be isolated, but have to respond to the captains orders. The Captain would have his own independent gauges & screens but no direct control, possibly with some overide to give control to the autopilot if the pilot were to go suicidal, with ground control concurrence, say by coded command. The flight cabin would have a combination lock known only on the ground.
