Doable, but rocky as hell at best, and it'll never sit well with fliers.

Who becomes responsible for final outcomes? The captain, or the pilot?

To state that the captain would have the last say in a matter he has no control over is one thing, but when you're sitting in the front seat with the contols at your fingertips, well...
