Western culture has its true roots all over the globe, but that's not what's important right now. Nor is there any importance in who stole what culture from whom during which crusade. We are here. The time is now. We have gathered the best from all the lands and all walks of life to us, settled here as neighbors and free citizens, where we openly converse our pride and national unity.
I know we cannot stay together forever, unified to a pure cause, but couldn't we try? There is no question sp knows his history, and no question that Justin is pissed about what happened last week (and no more so than you, sp), but shouting "becauses" back and forth solves nothing. ...And, in truth, nothing will be solved in the matter here anyway. Others will handle it for us, because we elected them to do so, those with global mobility and access to the terror that struck us just 6 days ago (has it only been 6?).
Now, my wife just called me from home, and Rosh Hashanah is upon us. She's been cooking all day, and I would be remiss if I did not eat (she said so).
Chow, folks,
Dan
