This is not news. It isn't widely advertised, I will grant you that, but no real attempt has been made to cover up these incidents. Flight 800 aside, it is actually odd that more terrorist missile attacks have not been made on U.S. targets, given the availability of the weapons and the thousands of opportunities to use them. Maybe they have been shooting, and they all missed so far. Better keep looking out the windows next time you fly. Look here for a remarkably interesting site on this subject, including some details of the attacks you mention. Again, note that these documented attacks were not "covered up" i.e. written off as exploding fuel tanks, just to make people feel "safe."

2. You must know that the CIA supplied Stingers to the Mujahadeen to counter Soviet Hinds (MI-24s), and then began to worry if the Stingers “should fall into the wrong hands”. Some of the Stingers wound up for sale in Kabul arm's bazaars, going for 10x their actual price, and more. The CIA went over there trying to outbid the bidders, but failed, as the quote I included, above, notes.

No, I didn't know all the gory details of how the CIA lost track of a bunch of Stingers, although I knew they had. Odd that the CIA didn't cover all THAT up. Still doesn't explain at all why all the other agencies are committing Federal crimes to cover the CIA's ass.

Still doesn't explain why Clinton would cover up a shoot-down that would make him a political god just to make Iran happy.

Recall too that you said there was not one single, plausible motive to cover-up the shootdown. I have presented three, and there are more.
