I find it amazing that no-one is asking what we're doing armed to the teeth and out on full alert on the seas and in the skies looking for another "war".
No country is attacking us. Our coasts are reasonably safe. Shouldn't we be looking for the vermin WITHIN this country?
Not only are all our families deeply shocked and saddened by last week's events, but aren't we being further traumatized by being subjected to a "war" that is pre-mature and off balance?
Aren't we in the process of co-ercing the WORLD to do things our way (the John Wayne way........shoot first and ask questions later), rather than finding PEACE and security through an international coalition of improved relations and border patrols?
Why are we now planning on using every conventional, unconventional, secret (or not) way to exterminate the "enemy", "terrorist", or country who undermines our "progress"?
Actually, I think Bush is being brash.
We DO need to take out the Taliban, and other terrorist groups, but they need to be done with our countries co-operation.
And that of others.
Forcing ourselves down everybody else's throat, is playing with fire right now.
NO-ONE likes co-ercion.
And if you think national ID cards are a pain in the ass, wait until you have to give up your weapons and martial law is implemented.
I feel that the attitude of retribution, of hatred, of wanting blood for our disaster, (although a natural re-action); is dangerously crossing a line from which we all might not be able to turn back.
The world is different and divided and we were just growing into a CIVILIZED society. An international coalition based on identical goals to eradicate the scumbags of the earth without disturbing blossoming countries sovereignity, would be the best way to go.
Tightening the security at home. Giving the thousands upon thousands of men now patrolling the seas and the skies back to their families and loved ones. Training more special forces. Waiting for the right moment with the right moves.
Does Bush want Armageddon?
Is he not sanctified to do this with Ashcroft ably praying at his side?
Is he not taking the image of a wronged God to the hilt?
Where does this religious madness end?
Is nobody else worried about these maniacall implications?
