I cannot agree less.
Osama does not wish to to talk.
He is a killer and he likes killing.
He wants to start with us, and eventually get around to you.
Talking to Osama would be like talking to Hitler in the 1930's.....
Oh yeah: that is what was done.
They even teach that here in the USA, still.
We may set off a repercussions, we may not.
I think if we are forceful, and allow Afghans to retake their country from the "students"(Taliban means student) then I think we will get better.
The USA should do for the Middle east what we did for Europe: encourage democracies with real assistance, and help the poeple there get rid of the military oligarchies.
