What this is about is the idea that if someone wants or needs something badly enough they should be able to force someone else to give it to them. That's not news. This is basically the foundation of an entire political sector in this country, including a number of people on this board, which is why most of this will make no sense to them.
It hit a new level when this principle was extended to forcing religious organizations to support things that are against their religion.
Keep in mind that nobody anywhere along the line has proposed preventing people from getting these things elsewhere, often inexpensively, but in the lexicon of the Left, not giving them what they want or need for free, regardless of why they want or need it, is an attack.
I remember a news editorial some time back in my local paper. That foundation had decided not to donate money to Planned Parenthood. A fascinating, archaic word, that. "Donate."
This was labeled an "assault" by the editors, using exactly that word.
"If you don't let me have your money, you're attacking me!" An interesting morality there, and when it comes down to it, the real bottom line of all this.

No, that's the line the Democrats are selling.
