Frightening perspectives

Remember way back in 1992, the FISfrom Algeria (a Muslim political party) won democratically obtained elections.
Instead of giving them the power, the then government called the army and Algeria remained became a military state, and still not democratic. As a result, the islamists radicalized themselves and went on killing thousands and thousands of women and children (and still do). Now, every other African Arab state and the other Arab countries in the Middle-East have a growing pro-Islamist population that feels rejected not only by their respective governments but also by the western world.
Realizing how successful the Islamist kamikazes are and the inspiration they could give and also the fact that those populations have nothing to loose, this all converges towards an extremely violent confrontation between civilizations.
Just today, I heard there are violent confrontations between Palestinians (pro-Arafat v pro-Hamas) with deads. Arafat is trying desperately to contain the Palestinians because he listens to and respects Peres . At the same time, Sharon hates Arafat.
And I heard interviews of French-born Muslim Arab adults who say: why is there a justice with two weighs and two measures (2 poids, 2 mesures)? One for the American and the Jews and another one for the Muslims.
I'm sorry, but there must be peace between the Palestinians and the Israelis. Both have an interest to it: their own survival.
At this moment, we are heading towards dangerous confrontation and the longer the presence of the west in Afghanistan, the bigger the resentment of the Islamic populations.
