Listen to what many Israelis say:
They speak of final solutions against Palestinians.
Anyone who disagrees is anti-semtitic.
Anyone who throws rocks is a terrorist.
The Israelis practice incredible levels of group punishment.
The confiscatte property through condemnation and build Jewish only homes on the land.
The Palestinians have been terrible, and brutal both to Israelis and to each other. But it is Israel who has the armed forces and power.
It is also a good object lesson about why reflexive extreme responses don't work.
Israel has been responding forcefully to "terror" since before they invaded Lebanon in 1982.
They have achieved nothing of note, except a brutalized population of both occupiers and occupied.
This MUST be an object lesson to the USA about what to avoid in our war.
Israel's has been a strategic failure.
