This has been known to be an "Urban Legend" for some time. It was corrected only days after the original accusation.
Like the media fiasco with the "Viet Nam Gas Attack," the leftist media are so anxious to leap on any possibility of wrongdoing by the U.S., that they are not as careful as they might be in checking their stories.
What is being almost desperately suppressed in the media right now--not to mention frantic Arab leaders anxious to stay on our good side--is the widespread support for the Islamic radicals in "moderate" Islamic nations.
