The story continues...

A quick web search yielded several articles on this issue, and I stand corrected on this point, but there's more to the story here.

I visited this larger issue in an earlier post. We have no way of knowing what motivated the celebration. It might have been the candy, it might have been somebody's birthday, and just maybe, these few kids were indeed celebrating a great defeat for America, or maybe even the deaths of 5,000+ Americans at the WTC, or maybe these few kids were being manipulated by persons unseen in the segment for purposes known only to them. As Isreal's rich and powerful benefactor in a region bent on that nation's destruction, the U.S. will find no shortage of those willing to fan the flames of hate, or indeed, cheer our misfortune.

And other articles seem to suggest that there were celebrations by Palestinians that day, but Palestinians are no more immune to the propaganda from their own organs of “information” than we in America are free from propaganda, mistakes and PC-flavored spin by the talking heads on CNN.

Video is a versitile medium for communication, but as with any of the visual arts, the subject is composed, edited and framed by the artist to convey some message or information, and very rarely does one get to see the whole picture.

It's said that one picture may be worth 1000 words. That may be true, but to tell the whole story, 10000 may be needed.
