I heard, of all people, Tim Russert this AM on the Imus show (please, I was frequecy hopping) saying that the dirty truth is that the Saudis are deeply complicit in this. He said Congress is quietly seething but deferring action while we need the "coalition". He emphasized that we at their behest, saved Saudi ass from Saddam. They asked and the US put 500,000 men and women in harms way to stop Saddam, who would have taken over Saudi Arabia after Kuait. My view is that the fact that we were protecting our own access to oil does not mitigate the Saudi treachery. We OWE them. But we gots to bide our time.
