As someone who supports the Israeli homeland, it is a bit transparent that since 911, Israel has sought every way possible to justify their mistreatment of the Palestinians with our war. It is tough to remain supportive of Israel when they never do the one thing asked: stop building illegal settlements.
But they are our ally, and we seem to be stuck with them.
The Palestinians will remain as the catalyst for anti-American sentiment, and the excuse used to justify terrorists around the world.

If I was into conspiracy or deep cynicism, I could think of some really twisted reasons that racist hate monger Minister of Tourism was shot.
I wonder if the Israeils have convinced themselves that their invasion of Lebanon went well?
I wonder if they are prepared to perform a pogrom on the millions of Palesitinians who live in the Gaza and West Bank?
I wonder if they are preapred for the continued deepening of the ethnic seperation of Israelis from the Arab/Palestinians of the area?
I wonder if they are prepared for the continued and deepened militarization and brutalization of their society?
