I am not an NRA member btw, however I would support allowing those people with concealed carry permits bring their firearms onto planes. Furthermore I am the type who, if I had know it were aloud to have a knife up to 4 inches on a plane fligh I would have carried a knife as large on me every time I traveled.

With a right we are loosing more of with every gun law taht is passed I hold no hope of that ever happening, but the idea that pilots may carry them, might be a stepping stone to gain back more gun freedom, the way all the anti gun laws have been stepping stones to killing more and more of the second amendment.

and of course I think it woudl be a good idea for the pilots to be able to protect themselves with anything the attackers might have on them.
