Re: Offensive language
I reserve virulent language for particular situtations where I feel it is called for to express outrage or contempt. There are people who drop such words into every sentence, which causes them (in my opinion) to lose their impact, and therefore their usefulness, but I don't believe that anyone on this board falls into that category.
It is a common technique for some people to fixate on a point of language to avoid discussing a point, and this is probably another such case.
