Men ARE sharing the burden.

<Child care is paid for in years of women's lives. That women will do that, I reiterate, speaks volumes for women. Men, on the whole, will not.

Cripes, I missed this little beauty when I first read your post, until I saw it highlighted in a response.

Excuse me? EVERYTHING of value that takes work and time to achieve is paid for with years of our lives. My attempts to start a rocket company have taken me twenty years so far, and I'm still punching at it. On my fourth company. Do I get those twenty years back?

Is not any man supporting his wife and kids by working his ass off every day paying with years of his life to raise children? But that's not the main point.

The gist of your statement seems to imply that years spent raising children are somehow a waste of a woman's valuable life, rather than one of the finest and most valuable callings on earth. This can't be what you meant, is it? Certainly you don't buy the radical feminist principle that a full-time mother is a waste of potential at best, and a form of slavery at worst?

Look at your post, with its litany of wife-killing, wife-beating, abandonment, concubines, and pain. Is this how you see your heritage as a woman? Do you see this as the rule in the mainstream of this country today?

Feminist propaganda has been pounding this woman-as-permanent-victim propaganda into our heads for years. What they want you to think of when you think 1950s housewife is a miserable woman who is abused by her husband, probably drinks too much, and drags herself through the wreckage of her life while caricatures of happy housewives dance across the TV screen in black and white. Go ahead, you tell me what image flashed into your mind when I wrote "1950's housewife."

Me, I think of my Mom.

Radical feminists want women to think that if they are "housewives," they are failures. Not one person on this board can argue with this fact.

A woman (or a man, for that matter) devoting full time to raising and teaching a child is manufacturing one of the most incredible things in the world, a living human being, which will go out and take her teachings and heritage into the infinite future.

Can the CEO of an electronics company ever say as much?
