I don't know if there were any replies to Donaldson's letter, but I know Boeing has disputed the spontaneous CWT explosion theory.

The angle on this event which seems most likely to me is that the USN was on maneuvers to prevent terrorist threats against airliners from being carried out, but failed.

Circumstantial evidence in this case points to a missile launch against the airliner. The why, how and who remain mysteries, but to my own satisfaction, at least, the what seems clear.

Dan, I appreciate your comments, energy, and efforts to look into this matter. I hope to re-visit it in the near future, but for now, at least, I have to put it aside and move on.
