Apparently, if you were a Republican then your name would get mentioned. I remember seeing articles a couple weeks ago that made a big deal about how 15 members of Bush's administration owned Enron stock. In all probability, they lost money on that deal (as did Bush's mother-in-law) but the news were making a big deal about it.
Where stock ownership could be a big deal is if the owner has political connections that can influence the price of the stock or if the person used political power to help a company he/she owns stock in.
