The story will of course go where it goes: congress, executive, republican, democrat, whereever, whoever. The bigger the name, the bigger the story.
Cheney's stonewalling on the OMB request for information only adds to the appearance of wrongdoing. He should bite the bullet and comply now, rather than increase suspicion and ultimately have to do it anyway, when the courts explain the limits of executive privalege to him.
I used to think that this walljob was just Republican pissyness. But now that the stakes are so high and still no compliance, it makes me wonder if there isn't something to hide.
