Here's a scorecard of the current situation.
Assume just for fun that none of those refunds on the charts exist. That we've spent $601 billion since 2008 on bailouts. Down the hole.
Tack that entire $601 billion on the chart along with the $4.7 billion Buffett tax and the $497 billion from killing all the tax cuts.
I tally up a total of $1.1 trillion.
Why, just another 100 billion and you could break even. For one year.
