Pre-emption....ok, so why not bomb Pakistan right now (don't they have the nuclear bomb? Didn't the Taliban originate from there and isn't OBL reportedly crossing the border one way and the other, from time to time); why not bomb Ryad and wipe Saudi Arabia out of earth for having so many Al Qaeda terrorists; why not bomb us because we use the word "but" too often in our opinions about the subject; go ahead with bombing the whole "not-agreeing-with-Bush" world.
What I've noticed is the conviction that Saddam has weapons of mass destruction and that we are the target.
Well, we don't agree: what exactly are weapons of mass detruction?
Biological weapons? They don't destroy, they kill randomly and not completely, but leave plenty of time for retaliation.
Nuclear weapons with rockets? Yes, these are weapons of mass destruction and they must be prevented from building them. Are spy satellites showing this? Or is it just Saddam's refusal to let UN inspectors do their job that induces the belief?
BTW, Israel is a far easier target to Saddam's weapons of mass destruction than the US or Europe are and Saddam hates Israel far more than us...so, who's threatened?
9/11 was caused by a network of terrorists coming from a variety of countries and the President goes after 3 countries, 2 of which had nothing to do with the attacks. And we don't have the right to call this simplistic?
