Now, you've been the first to admit Bush inherited the world's strongest economy. I DIDN'T say it hadn't been stronger a bit earlier, I DID say it was the world's strongest. Now, of all the people on this board, you and I are the only ones who know that. Of all the people in the real world, where their thinking isn't overruled by their prejudices and emotions, well, they all know it.

Actually, even at it's lowest point in the last few years, the economy was the world's strongest. Yet, just because I said Bush inherited something good and I followed it closely with another fact people didn't want to recognize simple truths.

(A bit reading that Harry was standing by the body with a knife, and the body had been stabbed. I know no one said Harry stabbed him, but folks on this board wouldn't be able to see that. They would assume Harry had been accused, and wouldn't, honestly wouldn't, be able to see that no one had gone that far, yet.)

One at a time. Was there a recession? There are way, way too many more to quote. Again, there's the folks on this board, and there's the rest of the world. Well, we can believe you, or we can go with what's reported. There's a couple of them.

All I said there was a recession early in Bush's term. The outside (outside this board) world would agree.

Now here's where you guys are missing it, and what would make you very easy on cross-examination.

Where did I say that Bush caused the recession? I didn't.

Now, let's see if you get this one, and if you can, a point very much in doubt, we could move onto the next. Actually I've made it very difficult for you to agree, a bit on purpose. I kinda get off on folks having to turn themselves into pretzels to avoid agreeing, watching them deny obvious realities because they disagree with the source.

If you want to, though, just think about this. Is there a reason for raising the national debt limit if revenues are enough to cover expenses? Would Bush ask for it if there were? Why would Republicans think it's a difficult subject and try to postpone raising the issue?
